The AIRC is seeking the views of those who use its website following a major redesign, which went live on Monday, 12 November 2007.

Harvester Centenary 

This month marks the 100-year anniversary of the 1907 Harvester judgment by Justice HB Higgins of the Commonwealth Court of Conciliation and Arbitration.

Decisions by Subject 

A list of recent AIRC decisions—arranged by subject, with hyperlinks to the actual decisions—is now available. The list, which appears for the first time in this issue, includes decisions since 1 July 2007.

International Conference 

Presentations from the recent International Industrial Dispute Resolution Conference hosted by the AIRC in Melbourne are now available on the conference website.

The AIRC's video information package on the conciliation process in termination of employment cases has been updated and is now available in DVD format and online.

Archives Exhibitions 

A Day in the Life of the AIRC photographic exhibition presented by the Sir Richard Kirby Archives will continue on display in Melbourne until February next year. Alternative Dispute Resolution and the AIRC will commence in Sydney in early December.

Did you know?


The AIRC has offered online lodgment facilities since 2003. The e-filing portal available from the AIRC website provides for the filing of all documents. You may also submit documents over the counter, by post or facsimile.
